WNC Magazine Feature

I was so excited to hear that WNC Magazine wanted to feature Delain and Chris’s wedding that took place at Trillium in Cashiers, NC.  Trillium is a stunning location for a wedding, with breathtaking views.  This was a gorgeous and unique wedding with lots of personal touches, and the amazing Parker Pfister was their photographer.  Delain and Chris are beautiful people, and they deserve to be in a magazine!  :)   Thank you for this honor, WNC Magazine!

Jamie and Michael Wed at the Cliffs

When I first met Jamie’s mom, Deni, for our initial consultation, I knew right off the bat that I would adore working with this family.  I was definitely right!  They were some of the sweetest, most genuine people I had ever met, and I loved every minute of planning this gorgeous wedding.  Jamie and Michael are the perfect couple, and they compliment each other so well.  Their faith, sense of humor, and love for each other was apparent throughout the entire planning process and throughout the wedding weekend.  Thank you to these families for allowing me to be a part of this beautiful union.

Ashley Brockinton’s photography is amazing, and they were very fortunate to have her there to document every moment and every detail.  The wedding ceremony took place at the Cliffs Glassy Chapel, and the reception was held at the Cliffs Valley Clubhouse in October.  Enjoy these photos…

Our Little Pherson

IMG_6929 copy

Well, this past Sunday, our sweet baby girl came into this world at 8:34 am.  She was 15 days early, so we were very surprised!  Her name is Pherson (pronounced fear-son) Parks Jordan, and she is so precious.  Both she and I are doing well and healthy.  I praise the Lord every time I look at her chubby cheeks and pouty lips.  Thank you, Jesus, for this precious gift to our family.  We love her so much already, and I know that this will continue to grow and grow even though I don’t think I can love her anymore than I already do!  When she was only three days old, we went to Libby Brady’s studio to get some newborn shots of Pherson.  Libby is not only one of my dearest friends, but also one of the best children photographers in the country.  Pherson stayed asleep for the first part of the photo session, but was fighting sleep by the end.  We will be going back for even more pictures next week, which I am very pumped about!  Thank you, Libby, for all that you are to me and for capturing our little one with perfection.

Lorie and Leslie Marry at the Biltmore Estate

What a fun and exciting couple Lorie and Leslie are!  He is a magician and entertainer, and she is a bartender/dancer at Coyote Ugly.  They were so nice, and so thrilled to be getting married.  They had a very intimate wedding with only 17 guests, and it was perfect.  They were married inside the sitting room of the Conservatory at the Biltmore Estate.  Then their guests enjoyed a plated meal in the Champagne Cellar.  The Champagne Cellar is one of my favorite locations on the Estate because it is so unique and romantic.  Stacey, with The Bloom Room, created the gorgeous floral arrangements and bouquets.  Everything was so pretty!  Thank you to Audrey Goforth for all the photographs….enjoy!

Parker J Pfister’s Fine Art Photography

When Parker J Pfister asked me several months ago if he could take my maternity shots, I was so honored.  His work is breathtaking, unique and definitely a work of art.  Needless to say, I was very giddy, and finally about a week ago we were able to connect and make it happen.  Parker made me feel so comfortable, and we had the best time.  My husband and I were in awe of the work that he did, and we will treasure these pictures forever.  A HUGE thank you to Parker for spending so much time with me and for making me look good even with a beach ball as a belly! Also, best wishes to his beautiful wife who is due in just a few days!  I’m so excited to meet their little one!

Erin and Adam’s Rehearsal Dinner

Erin and Adam’s rehearsal dinner was located at The Fields at Blackberry Cove, which is a gorgeous location located in Weaverville, North Carolina.  It was the perfect place to relax and kick their feet back before the big wedding day.  Stacey, with the Bloom Room, decorated the barn and tables to a tee making for a fun and festive event.  They had games displayed on the lawn to play… basketball, croquet and more.  Plus they topped off the night with a big bonfire and a variety of s’mores (my favorite)!  Thank you, Corey McNabb, for the always fabulous photos!

Pictures of their wedding at the Biltmore Estate will come soon…

Adam completed the Iron Man, so it was only appropriate to surprise him with a pair of running shoes for his groom’s cake!

A slideshow of the couple was put together by the families…looks like they are enjoying it!

Erin and Adam’s Wedding Vignette

Erin and Adam tied the knot on the front lawn of the Biltmore House on a beautiful September evening, followed by a reception on the South Terrace.  Paul and Holley, with Four Seasons Films, captured this dream wedding on film, and I wanted to share this short vignette with you!  Thank you, Four Seasons Films, for sharing!  Pictures by Corey McNabb Photography to come soon…

Natalie and Jeff married at the Grove Park Inn

Natalie and Jeff were married at the Grove Park Inn in August, and the day was beautiful.   They were so full of joy, and it was so much fun to be part of this perfect union.  Natalie is originally from the Asheville area, and her parents still live here in the mountains.   Natalie’s parents were married at the Grove Park Inn, so this was the perfect spot for their dream wedding!  The Purple Iris, did awesome work with the floral design, and that was no surprise!  Thank you, Liz.  And to capture it all, was the infamous Corey McNabb…fabulous job as always, Corey!  First of all, I want you to take a glimpse at Natalie and Jeff’s rehearsal dinner at the Riverbend Barn on the Biltmore Estate.  I love this venue!

Natalie’s sweet mama…

Jeff sang a song to Natalie, and it was so precious!  Below is Natalie watching as she gets serenaded…  :)

And now for the wedding day!

Natalie and Jeff named each table after places they have traveled together

So let me explain…Jeff and Natalie wanted to make their introductions just like a Chicago Bulls lineup, and it was great.  We had the spotlight, the announcer, the music, and the jerseys!  The groomsmen jerseys said G-Men, and the bridemaids said B-Maids.  I loved it!

Natalie and Jeff wanted the Smoochbooth at their wedding, and it was a hit!  As guests had their picture taken, they would put them in a book and write notes to the bride and groom.
