My heart just swells when I look at these photographs of my little girl taken by Libby Brady.  I just had to share these to not only show off Libby’s unbelievable talent to capture the innocence of children, but to show off God’s handiwork when He knitted together our little girl in my womb.  We just love our precious Pherson, and we thank God for blessing us with her everyday.   Libby, I love you with all my heart, and I can’t thank you enough for letting me share these pictures with the world!

I just loved working with Amber and Josh on their Charleston wedding.  Charleston is one of my favorite places to visit because of its history, food and beauty.  I was so excited when Amber and Josh decided to have their wedding in this amazing city!  The wedding took place in October, which is a perfect time of year in Charleston. Fortunately, we had perfect weather all weekend!  Amber and Josh were married in the French Huguenot Church, which is so rich in history and stunning!  Then guests were whisked away by horse and carriage to the reception at the Gibbes Museum Courtyard.  Thank you to Exum Photography for getting me all of these pictures.  This was my first time working with these guys, and they are so good at what they do and such a pleasure to work with!  Also, thank you Tiger Lily Florist for the amazing florals, and to Carolina Catering for the yummy food!

Marcy and Jason were married on October 31, 2009 at the Cliffs Glassy Chapel.  It was a foggy day, but as soon as Marcy stepped out of her limo the sun broke through, and it was breathtaking.  The views from the Glassy Chapel are unmatched.  After the ceremony, the guests made their way to the Cliffs Glassy Clubhouse.  Stacey, with The Bloom Room, did another brilliant job with the decor, and there were splashes of bright fall colors everywhere.  It was beautiful!  So happy that Marcy and Jason had Brian and Gry, with Woodward + Rick, to capture their event.   Absolutely fantastic photographers with such a great eye for the perfect shot.

What a lovely couple Marcy and Jason are, and I was honored to work with them.  Thank you, Marcy and Jason!  I am so happy for the two of you.

I showed you Erin and Adam’s rehearsal dinner at the Fields at Blackberry Cove, and now I am finally posting their wedding pictures!  The ceremony took place on the front lawn of the Biltmore House, which is a spectacular location.  Then guests were treated to a private tour of the Biltmore House immediately following the ceremony which led out to the reception on the South Terrace.  Tremendous job by Stacey and her team with The Bloom Room on all the floral and decor.  Thank you to Corey McNabb for his exquisite photography and for capturing all the wonderful moments and details.  Check it out…

The minute I met Martha and her mom, I know we were going to have so much fun planning this wedding.  Martha knew what she wanted, and she wanted it to be extravagant, elegant, sparkly, spectacular…with a smoky, sexy touch.    She chose the Lioncrest at the Biltmore Estate for the ceremony and reception…the perfect location.  The ceremony was held out on the veranda, and when the guests went upstairs for dinner, we transformed the veranda into the cocktail, dancing and lounge area.  We teamed up with Beth at Studio Flora Diva to create the flowers of Martha’s dreams (and she wanted lots of them!), and Beth did just that.  When Martha saw her reception and ceremony site, she literally gasped and yelled out how perfect everything was.  I love that kind of reaction!  Thank you to Martha and her sweet family for taking me a long this amazing ‘planning’ journey.  I am honored to know you all!

I was so excited to hear that WNC Magazine wanted to feature Delain and Chris’s wedding that took place at Trillium in Cashiers, NC.  Trillium is a stunning location for a wedding, with breathtaking views.  This was a gorgeous and unique wedding with lots of personal touches, and the amazing Parker Pfister was their photographer.  Delain and Chris are beautiful people, and they deserve to be in a magazine!    Thank you for this honor, WNC Magazine!

When I first met Jamie’s mom, Deni, for our initial consultation, I knew right off the bat that I would adore working with this family.  I was definitely right!  They were some of the sweetest, most genuine people I had ever met, and I loved every minute of planning this gorgeous wedding.  Jamie and Michael are the perfect couple, and they compliment each other so well.  Their faith, sense of humor, and love for each other was apparent throughout the entire planning process and throughout the wedding weekend.  Thank you to these families for allowing me to be a part of this beautiful union.

RISSE kept people dancing all night long!

Every year brides vote on their favorite vendors, and the ones with the most votes get put on the The Knot Best of Weddings list.  Well, I received a phone call and email that Weddings with Tara was voted as The Knot 2010 Best of Weddings Vendor for North Carolina!  I was very honored and extremely flattered.  Thank you, thank you to the brides out there that voted for me!  Wow!  You can pick up The Knot North Carolina magazine about anywhere, so get your copy today!

Well, this past Sunday, our sweet baby girl came into this world at 8:34 am.  She was 15 days early, so we were very surprised!  Her name is Pherson (pronounced fear-son) Parks Jordan, and she is so precious.  Both she and I are doing well and healthy.  I praise the Lord every time I look at her chubby cheeks and pouty lips.  Thank you, Jesus, for this precious gift to our family.  We love her so much already, and I know that this will continue to grow and grow even though I don’t think I can love her anymore than I already do!  When she was only three days old, we went to Libby Brady’s studio to get some newborn shots of Pherson.  Libby is not only one of my dearest friends, but also one of the best children photographers in the country.  Pherson stayed asleep for the first part of the photo session, but was fighting sleep by the end.  We will be going back for even more pictures next week, which I am very pumped about!  Thank you, Libby, for all that you are to me and for capturing our little one with perfection.

What a fun and exciting couple Lorie and Leslie are!  He is a magician and entertainer, and she is a bartender/dancer at Coyote Ugly.  They were so nice, and so thrilled to be getting married.  They had a very intimate wedding with only 17 guests, and it was perfect.  They were married inside the sitting room of the Conservatory at the Biltmore Estate.  Then their guests enjoyed a plated meal in the Champagne Cellar.  The Champagne Cellar is one of my favorite locations on the Estate because it is so unique and romantic.  Stacey, with The Bloom Room, created the gorgeous floral arrangements and bouquets.  Everything was so pretty!  Thank you to Audrey Goforth for all the photographs….enjoy!
