Weddings Unveiled Magazine Feature

I adore Weddings Unveiled Magazine, and I think it is done so well.  So, I was psyched to find out they were going to feature Mona and John’s simply romantic wedding in their magazine!  Thank you, Weddings Unveiled!  I love the timeless look of Abigail Seymour‘s pictures, and I was thrilled that her work is highlighted in this article.  Mona and John were the sweetest, and I enjoyed every single second I got to spend planning their special day at Claxton Farm. I was also delighted that The Darling Bee was featured in this article, as we provided many items to give their wedding that special touch!

A Biltmore Estate Wedding

I love fall weddings, and this one was no exception.  Anna and Lee’s much anticipated day was simply perfect, and I loved seeing them so happy.  They were fortunate to have an incredible photographer, Abigail Seymour, capturing the day, and their pictures are fabulous!  The ceremony took place out on the terrace of the Lioncrest, located on the historic Biltmore Estate.  As guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres upstairs in the ballroom, the terrace was transformed into their dinner reception.  It was a fun and magical night for all, and I was so happy to be a part!

I just love it when daddy's first see their little girls... :)

Katie and John’s Engagements

Katie and John will be getting married at the Lioncrest on the Biltmore Estate next July.  They are such a lovely and sweet couple, and they are blessed to have Abigail Seymour as their photographer.   I adore her work, and she did such a fantastic job capturing the love between Katie and John.  Take a look!

Isn’t Katie exquisite?  So beautiful…

Vicky and Kevin’s Spring Wedding

Vicky and Kevin were married on a beautiful March evening at the Biltmore Estate.  The ceremony took place in the historic Lodge Room at the Deerpark, followed by a dinner reception and dancing.  I just loved working with Vicky and Kevin.  Vicky knew what she wanted, made decisions quickly, and I enjoyed helping her make it come together.  Fun!  Blossoms did a beautiful job with the floral, and the amazing Abigail Seymour captured every sweet moment.  Thank you, Abigail, for sharing these pictures…

Beautiful shot, Abigail!

Kristi and Will’s Wedding in Asheville

Kristi and Will had a morning wedding at St. Marks Lutheran Church, in Asheville, followed by a brunch reception at the gorgeous Biltmore Forest Country Club.  These two were some of the sweetest, most gracious people I have ever met.  Kristi should be a model, as you will see from the pictures.  She is such a natural in front of the camera, and I know Abigail Seymour loved photographing her!  Kristi and Will’s families were also so precious…caring so much about each detail of the wedding and making sure everything was perfect for them.  I was so happy to see them get married, as I know that they are so in love and so happy together!  Thank you, Kristi and Will, for letting me experience this journey with you!  I loved every minute!

Okay, so once again, I am going a little overboard when it comes to the amount of pictures I am going to post of this wedding!  Abigail Seymour is one of the best in the industry…I love the way she captures tender moments, and her great artistic style.  Thank you, Abigail for sharing these with us!

Let’s start out with some bridal portraits…

I love the ‘I Do’ written on Kristi’s shoes, right next to the ‘funky’ shoes that her sister wore!  Fun!

Kristi just loves The Velveteen Rabbit, and she gave a copy of it to Will for one of their anniversaries of dating.  An excerpt from The Velveteen Rabbit was in the program, and Kristi gave a copy of it to all the bridesmaids, mothers, and grandmothers, since she believes that it’s the definition for true and unconditional love.

Kristi’s bouquet was beautiful and full of goodies:  The matching gold rings were her grandparents’ wedding rings that were made in France where they lived.  The hexagonal ring belonged to Kristi’s great great grandmother.  This ring was a ‘friendship’ ring given to her in the 1800′s by her future husband, Kristi’s great great grandfather.  Also, on the bouquet she had a small tuft of hair from her dog, Andy, who had passed away a few years ago.  And last, but not least, she had part of a friendship bracelet that she had shared with her best friend and ‘best woman’, Belle, attached to the bouquet.  I swear, Kristi thought of everything!!!

Kristi and Will wanted the reception site to feel intimate to all their guests, so they scattered pictures everywhere…bridal portraits, engagement shots, photos of family and friends, etc…it made everyone feel like they were part of the family.

I love that Abigail captured this shot…this is Belle’s (best woman) ‘toast’ that she was adding to at the reception…I just adored her…so dramatic, so sweet, and such a dear friend to Kristi.

Kristi and Will are HUGE dog lovers, and for the favors, they donated to the Asheville Humane Society in honor of each guest.

Weddings Unveiled Feature!

I just received an email letting me know that one of the weddings I had the privilege of helping with was just featured on the Weddings Unveiled Blog! So exciting! Thank you, Weddings Unveiled for this blessing. The wedding featured is of Collins and Jared…a precious couple married in Cashiers, NC. The ceremony took place at a private home in front of a serene and beautiful lake. The reception took place at Trillium, a private community nestled in the mountains. I loved being part of this wedding. Below is the feature…

Real Wedding ~ Collins and Jared

The details are gorgeous in this real wedding at Trillium, in Cashiers, NC sent to us by wonderful NC photographer Abigail Seymour. From simple fern detailing to the lush florals and rich combination of creamy whites with deep browns and greens, this wedding has a sophisticated elegance that is cleverly blended with a bit of rustic charm. We especially love Abigail’s image of the bright reception tent beneath the starlit sky. Florals: Dutchman’s Design, Highlands, NC. Event Planner: Weddings With Tara. Enjoy!

Kristi and Will

I love love these engagement pictures taken by Abigail Seymour. Kristi and Will are such a cute couple, and they are getting married next March! Their wedding reception will take place at the beautiful Biltmore Forest Country Club. Some of these pictures were taken at their family’s cabin in Lake Lure…

Isn’t she beautiful?

What a great shot…

More Beautiful Weddings…

I hope everyone out there has had a wonderful week so far…now we are gearing up for the weekend. Last weekend, Collins and Jared were married in the mountains of Cashiers, North Carolina. Working with Collins and her mother, Marlene, was more than a pleasure; it was an honor. They are so genuine and down-to-earth…two of the sweetest people I have ever worked with. Their love for the Lord shines through in all they do, especially in how they treat others.

The setting of the ceremony was the personal home of one of their good friends, and the reception took place at the Trillium clubhouse. I would love to move into this house!! I had my wonderful mother with me to assist with this one…thank you, Mama! When people ask us about the wedding, we don’t even have words to describe how pretty it was. Since I can’t describe it, I will just let you see for yourselves! This is a slide show put together by their photographer, Abigail Seymour. It was wonderful getting to work with Abigail, as she is incredibly talented!

And, again, I have to show off my cutie-pie dog, Toni, sleeping on her daddy’s pillow. :)

And, we had the privilege of babysitting Rufus, the great dane, once again. Toni was in heaven!!! :)

A few weekends ago, Katie and Zac were married at Claxton Farm. I love this place, as it is surrounded by mountains on all sides. Not only do you have a fabulous setting like this, but there are goats, cows and llamas all there to watch the festivities!! :) Corey McNabb sent me some pictures, and Katie looked so happy and fabulous! :) Katie, you are an awesome girl, and I wish you the best in your future!

Their dog, Red, was a central part of the wedding!
