Weddings Unveiled Magazine Feature

I adore Weddings Unveiled Magazine, and I think it is done so well.  So, I was psyched to find out they were going to feature Mona and John’s simply romantic wedding in their magazine!  Thank you, Weddings Unveiled!  I love the timeless look of Abigail Seymour‘s pictures, and I was thrilled that her work is highlighted in this article.  Mona and John were the sweetest, and I enjoyed every single second I got to spend planning their special day at Claxton Farm. I was also delighted that The Darling Bee was featured in this article, as we provided many items to give their wedding that special touch!

Caitlin and Trevor Get Married!

The wedding between Caitlin and Trevor was extra special to me because Caitlin’s family are very dear to my heart!  I have known them for a while now, and to see Caitlin and her parents so happy brought me so much joy!  Caitlin and Trevor’s wedding took place at the lovely Claxton Farm, surrounded by North Carolina’s stunning mountains.  Meriah Mozingo did an outstanding job with photographs as you will see below.  Thank you to Liz with The Purple Iris for creating the perfect floral floral design for Caitlin and Trevor.  I had so much fun working with Denise and Fred (Caitlin’s parents), and I thank them for asking me to be a part of this very special occasion in their lives.

A special thank you to Tere for all of your help with this event!

So sweet and adorable…lots and lots of flower girls!

Caitlin’s sister played the flute for the prelude…I love this.

I love that they have a dinner bell that the bride and groom can ring at Claxton…

Tiffany’s cakes are always so amazing.  Her work is perfection!

This picture makes me teary…just like her daddy!

Meriah set a photo center for the guests…and you will see they loved it!

Meg and Ross happily wed at Claxton Farm

Meg and Ross were such a lovely couple, and Meg was very passionate about all of her wedding details.   What I loved so much about this wedding was all of the Do-It-Yourself touches throughout the decor.  Meg’s father is very artistic, and we used his ability as much as possible!  He painted a picture of the Claxton Farm for the guests to sign, he painted all of the table names on tree stumps, and made every sign that you will see throughout the pictures below.  For a fun twist, Meg and Ross wanted to make a photobooth of their own  Fabric was draped, props were put in place, and cameras were snapping.  Love it!  Thank you to Jeremy Russell with Corey McNabb Photography for taking such gorgeous photographs of Meg and Ross’s special day!

In lieu of favors, Meg and Ross donated money to the American Cancer Society in memory of Meg’s mother.  Money was also donated to Jude’s Children Hospital.  Miniature yellow roses were Meg’s mother’s favorite flower, so they were sprinkled throughout the decor in her honor.

Meg and Ross had a private meeting before the ceremony began…can you tell he loves her?  :)

Sangria, lemonade and mojitos were served to guests as they arrive.  They had stirrers shaped like golf flags for all the drinks because Meg and Ross met playing a golf game!

Southern Wedding of the Week!!

Southern Wedding Magazine featured Melissa and Ryan’s wedding as the Southern Wedding of the Week! I can’t believe it…a double feature! So cool! Please go to the following links to see the two part series…

Melissa + Ryan Part I
Melissa + Ryan Part II

Melissa and Ryan married at Claxton Farm

Melissa and Ryan were married in June at Claxton Farm. Melissa was so creative in all the touches she added to the wedding to make it their own. It was truly an amazing wedding, and their guests had a wonderful time. A big THANK YOU to Tine with TM Photography for the stunning photographs she allowed me to use for my blog. She traveled from Kentucky to shoot this wedding, and I am certainly glad she did. I was able to meet another incredibly talented photographer! I think any one who sees these pictures will think the same. Melissa and Ryan, it was such a pleasure working with you…you two look like models in these pictures! :)

Love this decor by The Bloom Room….

This cake by Cakes by Jane could not be any more perfect!

It’s Fall!

I have to start out with another picture of Toni….we got her some Doggles to wear for when she hangs out the window as I drive down the road. That way the bugs stay out of her eyes, and they protect her eyes from the sun! People will stop and take pictures with their cell phones as we drive by…it is hilarious! :)

So much has happened lately! This is one of my favorite times of the year with the leaves changing, and the weather getting cooler. This past Friday, my good friends, Kate and John were married at Claxton Farm. I was happy to assist them with the coordination of their wedding day. On Friday morning, the day of the wedding, it was pouring the rain. But, the weather cleared and it was a gorgeous evening! Kate and John, I love you both and wish you the best! Here are some pictures by Ryan Bumgarner with Wedding Day Photo!

Yummy kabobs!
Such adorable goats! They love weddings!
Thank you, Jeff (Masterpiece Ice), for your always amazing ice carvings!

The General Lee came to the wedding to whisk John and Kate away at the end of the reception…how cool is that?

What a fun crew…Taylor (violinist) , Me, my handsome husband (guitarist), Catie and Mike, and the sweetest guy in the world, Brian. We had a wonderful time.

Back on October 6th, Jill and Jared were married at Lake Eden. Exquisite setting for an outdoor wedding. Thank you, Tere, for all of your help with this one! Once again, fabulous photos captured by Ryan Bumgarner!

A princess!

Guests typed notes to Jill and Jared throughout the night…
Of course, if there is a dog in the wedding, I’m going to blog it!

Could he be any more adorable?

Stacey, you are amazing! Love the blooms!

And, here he is again…

More Beautiful Weddings…

I hope everyone out there has had a wonderful week so far…now we are gearing up for the weekend. Last weekend, Collins and Jared were married in the mountains of Cashiers, North Carolina. Working with Collins and her mother, Marlene, was more than a pleasure; it was an honor. They are so genuine and down-to-earth…two of the sweetest people I have ever worked with. Their love for the Lord shines through in all they do, especially in how they treat others.

The setting of the ceremony was the personal home of one of their good friends, and the reception took place at the Trillium clubhouse. I would love to move into this house!! I had my wonderful mother with me to assist with this one…thank you, Mama! When people ask us about the wedding, we don’t even have words to describe how pretty it was. Since I can’t describe it, I will just let you see for yourselves! This is a slide show put together by their photographer, Abigail Seymour. It was wonderful getting to work with Abigail, as she is incredibly talented!

And, again, I have to show off my cutie-pie dog, Toni, sleeping on her daddy’s pillow. :)

And, we had the privilege of babysitting Rufus, the great dane, once again. Toni was in heaven!!! :)

A few weekends ago, Katie and Zac were married at Claxton Farm. I love this place, as it is surrounded by mountains on all sides. Not only do you have a fabulous setting like this, but there are goats, cows and llamas all there to watch the festivities!! :) Corey McNabb sent me some pictures, and Katie looked so happy and fabulous! :) Katie, you are an awesome girl, and I wish you the best in your future!

Their dog, Red, was a central part of the wedding!
