Ann Parr and Chet marry in Asheville

Ann Parr and Chet’s wedding was absolutely beautiful despite the rainy weather.  I loved watching these two together because you can definitely see their love for each other.  Ann Parr and Chet are both pilots for Atlantic Southeast Airlines, which I think is so fun.  Honour Hiers did such an amazing job with their photographs, and I just love the bridal portraits of Ann Parr with her plane.  So artistic!

Their wedding took place at Homewood, in Asheville, NC.  The ceremony was inside the ballroom, then guests moved outside for dinner under a gorgeous tent, then everyone moved back inside for dancing and cake.  It was such a lovely event, and I hope you have fun looking at all of these pictures!  Thank you to Stacey, with The Bloom Room, for the floral design…stunning!

Incredible image…

Love, love, love these shoes!!

Dana with A Fine Line Studio, did an amazing job with these invitations!

Jenni and Nathan’s wedding at Homewood in Asheville

Jenni and Nathan were married in November of last year at the Homewood in Asheville, North Carolina.  Their ceremony took place in front of the fireplace in the grand ballroom, and while guests were enjoying cocktails, the room was transformed for a sit-down dinner.  Jenni looked so classy and elegant.  I loved her unique style, and it was reflected in every detail of the wedding.  Thank you Jenni and Nathan for allowing me to be a part.  Liz with The Purple Iris did an amazing job with the flowers, as always!

Beautiful Wedding at Homewood in Asheville

I just love how you can just look at these pictures and see the happiness that exudes from Meredith and Bryan and their families.  What a wonderful day it was!  The rain held off, and they were able to get married outside in the Glen at Homewood.  Their cocktail reception was held under a tent in the lawn, and just as it was about to rain everyone was escorted inside for heavy hors d’oeuvres, cake and dancing.  Perfect!  These pictures by Rae Barnes Photography (from New York) are truly stunning, and I am so happy that this type of talent was capturing Meredith and Bryan’s wedding!  Enjoy…

Meredith’s Bridal Portraits

These bridal portraits of Meredith are stunning!  As you will see, she is such a beautiful young lady, but not just on the outside, but on the inside.  I am finally able to show you these because she was married this past weekend at Homewood.  I will be posting pictures of their wedding very soon, but for now, enjoy these portraits by Rae Barnes Photography

Intimate Wedding at Homewood in Asheville

Now this is what I call an intimate wedding…just the bride, groom, officiant, me and the photographer!I just loved when Jill and Andrew contacted me wanting a simple, romantic wedding in Asheville for just the two of them. I thought Homewood would be the perfect place for a winter wedding in front of their gorgeous (and warm!) fireplace. I love not only being a planner, but getting to sign the marriage license! :) Thank you, Katy Cook, for capturing this beautiful affair!!

Liz with The Purple Iris created a beautiful bouquet for Jill!

That is Katy signing the marriage license as the other witness…so who is taking the photo?? ME!!! :) Wonderful work, huh?

New Year’s Eve Wedding at Homewood

I had an amazing New Year’s Eve this year, because I was able to be a part of a wedding of two very special people! Nikki and Allen (who both live in New York) wanted a wedding in the gorgeous Asheville, North Carolina where Allen grew up. They chose to have their ceremony at Homewood where the candlelight bounced off the crystals and dark cherry walls. Then, the guests enjoyed dinner and dancing at sleek and classy Coleman Place. I love that they wanted their wedding on such a fun day, as there is so much to celebrate! Nikki and Allen, and their families, were so wonderful to work with…I just loved them all! One of the ‘events’ I really looked forward to was the couple’s first dance because they are both very talented swing dancers. They did not disappoint! I was very impressed! Because they love dancing and music, we named the tables after their favorite swing/jazz musicians and entertainers. So fun! I love how Katy Cook captured this evening full of sparkle, fun, love and new beginnings!

Lovely blooms by The Purple Iris!

Nikki and Allen had polaroid cameras for their guests to take pictures of themselves throughout the evening. Once they took the pictures, they placed it in an album and wrote a note to the happy couple!

Amy and Jim’s trailer

Hayne Griffin with Moonrunner Pictures sent me this video trailer of Amy and Jim’s wedding that I wanted to share with everyone! A few blogs ago, I showed off pictures of their beautiful wedding! As you will see in this trailer, one of my favorite parts in this wedding was when Amy totally jumped ahead of the pastor, kissed Jim and started walking down the aisle before the ceremony was even over! :) It was great….she was very excited to be married!! Thank you, Hayne, for your great work!

Just click on the picture below to see the trailer…

Amy and Jim

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year! What an amazing time of year it is! I still haven’t taken down my tree!!! :) I guess I need to do that soon…

And now on to weddings! I have a beautiful one to show you….Amy and Jim exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony at Homewood. Then their guests were transported to Coleman Place for the reception. Amy and Jim are both nurses here in Asheville, and they are an adorable couple. Amy looked so amazingly gorgeous…I would call her style-vintage elegance! Check out these pictures by Aaron, with Aaron Imaging.

Braidstream played for the ceremony and cocktail hour…they are so talented!

Gotta love Stacey’s (The Bloom Room) work!

Chocolate truffle favors by The Chocolate Fetish…yummy!

Meredith and Bobby get married at Homewood

On March 8th, Meredith and Bobby were married at the enchanting Homewood, in Asheville. Even though it was chilly outside, the atmosphere was warm and cozy inside. The wedding ceremony took place in front of the fire in the Ballroom, then as guests were enjoying cocktails, the ballroom was transformed into an elegant sit-down dinner. Meredith and Bobby are such a loving and down-to-earth couple. I loved getting to know them and their families. I wish them the best in their future together!

Here are some photographs taken by their photographer, Ryan Bumgarner...

The band, Common Saints, had an anniversary dance where the couple married the longest ends up being the last one on the dance floor. Meredith’s precious parents won the prize!
Everyone had a blast!

What a way to end the evening…milk and cookies! Yummy!

Kate and Kevin get married at Homewood

Kate and Kevin’s wedding was spectacular. With specialty lighting, flowers by The Bloom Room, and the beauty of Homewood…It felt and looked like a dream. When Kate and I first talked, she told me her mother had passed away from breast cancer just a few years back. Kate wanted to make sure that this wedding reflected her mom’s love, beauty and grace. Since pink is the signature color for breast cancer awareness, we fused this color into every detail in her mother’s memory. In the planning process, I discovered Kate loved feathers, hanging crystals and candlelight, so we used these to accent the entire wedding. Fortunately, we had Corey McNabb and his associate, Amber, covering the event to capture all of the gorgeous details! I feel blessed to have worked with Kate and Kevin in planning such a wonderful occasion. They will always hold a special place in my heart… I am certainly happy that they decided to come all the way from Houston, Texas, to have their wedding in the mountains of North Carolina! What better place is there? :)

The P.I.N.K Ribbon cocktail was their signature drink for the evening, and it was chilled as it flowed through an intricate ice carving by Masterpiece Ice.
