Kristina and Scott Get Married!

Kristina and Scott were married on a beautiful September day at the Basilica of St. Lawrence in downtown Asheville, NC.  After the ceremony, guests joined Kristina and Scott at the Deerpark on The Biltmore Estate for dinner and dancing.  Kristina and Scott were the sweetest, and I am thrilled for them.  Thank you to Blend Photography for the gorgeous pictures, and thank you to Tere for all of her help to make everything run smoothly!

Gorgeous florals by The Bloom Room.

Gigi and Rich’s Happy Day!

Gigi and Rich are a wonderful couple, and they were married on a Sunday in May of 2010.  Their ceremony and reception took place at the Deerpark on the Biltmore Estate.  Christy, with Waldorf Photographic Art, was there to capture the event, along with Digital Video Memories.  The both did an amazing job, and below you will see Christy’s pictures.  Thank you, Christy! Gigi looked gorgeous, and I really adored working with her, Rich and their families.  I wish them the best in their future together!

Thank you to The Baggie Goose for the programs and place cards!

Look at those flowers by The Bloom Room…lush and delicious!

Are they not the most precious flower girls?!

Avery and Nick Wed at the Cliffs

Avery was a blast to work with, and to see her so happy on her wedding day made all the planning worth it.  She looked amazing, and I loved the fact that she had two different wedding dresses for the festivities.  The ceremony took place at the Cliffs Glassy Chapel in South Carolina.  The views from this chapel are indescribable…there is no chapel that compares!  Then the guests were transported to the Cliffs Falls Clubhouse for the dinner reception.  The dinner took place on the clubhouse’s magnificent porch so they were able to enjoy the views all evening. The Bloom Room wowed everyone with their flowers and Jeremy Russell was the perfect photographer to capture the day.  THANK YOU, Jeremy, for all of these pictures!

Thank you to Jamie and Caroline with Capello Salon for Avery’s (and her girls) makeup and hair!

Before the guests arrived at the ceremony, Avery and Nick wanted to see each other…I just love this picture of Nick waiting on his bride-to-be.

Rhythm Nation definitely got everyone dancing and having a good time!

I thought this was such a precious picture of Avery, Nick and Avery’s parents…a lot of emotion here.

Emily and John Wed at St. Lawrence Basilica

What a sweet and adorable couple Emily and John are!  Even though they were both students at Wake Forest University, they did not meet one another until studying abroad in Sicily.  After leaving Sicily, John wrote to Emily everyday for a month in a journal, then later sent the journal to her.  SO romantic!!

Emily and John were married at the Basilica of St. Lawrence, and Emily looked breathtaking in her Monique Lhullier dress.  I loved this dress because the tulle skirt was detachable, so she looked like she was wearing a totally different dress at the reception.

Since they met in Sicily and it was a place that was dear to both of their hearts, we made sure it was sprinkled throughout the wedding reception.  Each table was named after a place that John and Emily visited, plus they included pictures they took when they were there.  An assortment of gelato was served to the guests along with the wedding cake, and Limoncellos were given as favors.  Sweet peas, which are native to Sicily, were painted on to each invitation by the amazing Dana with A Fine Line Studio, and they were included in her bouquet.  Stacey with The Bloom Room was responsible for the beautiful flowers…she never ceases to amaze me with her art!  And a big thank you to Abigail Seymour, who I adore working with, for these stunning photos…enjoy!

One of the groomsmen sang a song to the bride and groom…he was really good!

Orange Krush definitely got the guests moving!

Kathryn and Doug marry at The Diana

Kathryn and Doug were married in July at The Diana, which is located on the Biltmore Estate.  The views from The Diana are spectacular, as you have a perfect view of the Biltmore House and the mountains beyond.  I love this venue for a wedding and reception.

Kathyrn and Doug met while in school at Auburn, and they have been together for three and a half years.  They were very ready to get married and to spend their wedding weekend with friends and family.  I so enjoyed seeing Doug get so excited on the day of his wedding, and I especially enjoyed watching him as Kathryn rode up to the ceremony in a horse and carriage.  It was truly magical and very romantic!

Angela Stott Photography provided all these wonderful photographs for you to enjoy.  Thank you, Angela, for your exquisite work.

Isn’t she so beautiful?!

Their first ‘meeting’ before the ceremony…so sweet.

Ann Parr and Chet marry in Asheville

Ann Parr and Chet’s wedding was absolutely beautiful despite the rainy weather.  I loved watching these two together because you can definitely see their love for each other.  Ann Parr and Chet are both pilots for Atlantic Southeast Airlines, which I think is so fun.  Honour Hiers did such an amazing job with their photographs, and I just love the bridal portraits of Ann Parr with her plane.  So artistic!

Their wedding took place at Homewood, in Asheville, NC.  The ceremony was inside the ballroom, then guests moved outside for dinner under a gorgeous tent, then everyone moved back inside for dancing and cake.  It was such a lovely event, and I hope you have fun looking at all of these pictures!  Thank you to Stacey, with The Bloom Room, for the floral design…stunning!

Incredible image…

Love, love, love these shoes!!

Dana with A Fine Line Studio, did an amazing job with these invitations!

Marcy and Jason Wed at the Cliffs Glassy

Marcy and Jason were married on October 31, 2009 at the Cliffs Glassy Chapel.  It was a foggy day, but as soon as Marcy stepped out of her limo the sun broke through, and it was breathtaking.  The views from the Glassy Chapel are unmatched.  After the ceremony, the guests made their way to the Cliffs Glassy Clubhouse.  Stacey, with The Bloom Room, did another brilliant job with the decor, and there were splashes of bright fall colors everywhere.  It was beautiful!  So happy that Marcy and Jason had Brian and Gry, with Woodward + Rick, to capture their event.   Absolutely fantastic photographers with such a great eye for the perfect shot.

What a lovely couple Marcy and Jason are, and I was honored to work with them.  Thank you, Marcy and Jason!  I am so happy for the two of you.

Erin and Adam’s Biltmore Estate Wedding

I showed you Erin and Adam’s rehearsal dinner at the Fields at Blackberry Cove, and now I am finally posting their wedding pictures!  The ceremony took place on the front lawn of the Biltmore House, which is a spectacular location.  Then guests were treated to a private tour of the Biltmore House immediately following the ceremony which led out to the reception on the South Terrace.  Tremendous job by Stacey and her team with The Bloom Room on all the floral and decor.  Thank you to Corey McNabb for his exquisite photography and for capturing all the wonderful moments and details.  Check it out…

Love these shots with Adam and his family…

Loved Erin’s dance with her dad…so much fun, as you can tell!

Erin’s parents surprised the couple with a firework display during their reception!

The happy couple drove away in her father’s Aston Martin…sweet vehicle!

Erin and Adam’s Rehearsal Dinner

Erin and Adam’s rehearsal dinner was located at The Fields at Blackberry Cove, which is a gorgeous location located in Weaverville, North Carolina.  It was the perfect place to relax and kick their feet back before the big wedding day.  Stacey, with the Bloom Room, decorated the barn and tables to a tee making for a fun and festive event.  They had games displayed on the lawn to play… basketball, croquet and more.  Plus they topped off the night with a big bonfire and a variety of s’mores (my favorite)!  Thank you, Corey McNabb, for the always fabulous photos!

Pictures of their wedding at the Biltmore Estate will come soon…

Adam completed the Iron Man, so it was only appropriate to surprise him with a pair of running shoes for his groom’s cake!

A slideshow of the couple was put together by the families…looks like they are enjoying it!

Leigh-Ervin and Will

I wanted to feature some of my couples that have been married for at least a year to see what they are up to!  Leigh-Ervin and Will were married last October at the Central United Methodist Church, and their reception was held on the South Terrace of the Biltmore House.  I just love this couple and their families.  Please read below to learn more about these sweet newlyweds…

How did you meet each other?
We met after my senior year of high school and Will’s freshman year of college. He came to Asheville with some of our mutual friends and we all celebrated the fourth of July together. Little did we know that less than two years later we would start dating!

How long were you engaged before getting married?
16 months- we got married after I finished graduate school.

When did you get engaged, and how did he ask?
We got engaged in May 2007 at Ocean Isle Beach. Will took me on his golf cart to the furthest point on the island, and we walked out to the edge of the sand where we could see nothing but the ocean and the sunset and he got down on one knee and proposed!! It was perfect!!

What do you two do for a living?
I am a speech-language pathologist and Will works in finance.

What are some of the activities that you like to do together as a couple now that you are married?
We love to travel, go to Appalachian football games, walk our dog and visit our families.

Why did you choose Asheville as your wedding location?
I grew up in Asheville and couldn’t imagine getting married anywhere else!

When you think about your wedding, what did you love the most?
Our wedding was the most amazing, perfect and best day of our lives! We loved too many things to name, but will always remember our wedding as a time spent with our families and friends- the people that we love the most! One of the most memorable moments for me was walking into the church (my home church that I grew up in) for the first time- and later seeing Will at the end of the aisle, surrounded by family and friends- it was utterly breathtaking!

Any special moments at your wedding that you want to share with us?
The fireworks show on the South Terrace was unbelievable! Our band (The Company Band) was equally remarkable and we would recommend them to anybody!

Where did you go on your honeymoon?
Maui, Hawaii

After a year of marriage, do you have any advice for engaged couples out there?
You will absolutely LOVE being married!!

What do you love about each other?
Leigh-Ervin: What I love about Will is…that from the moment I first saw him I thought that he was the most handsome guy I had ever seen! He fills my life with laughter, happiness, support and love every single day!

Will: What I love about Leigh-Ervin is…she is the most upbeat and positive person I have ever met. She is beautiful and my best friend in the world (and is a great cook)!

Anything else you would want people to know?
Our wedding would not have been possible without the phenomenal vendors that made all of our dreams come to life. Many, many thanks to Tara Jordan (wedding planner), Corey McNabb (photographer), The Bloom Room (florist), A Fine Line (calligraphy), The Company Band, Four Seasons Films (videographer) and everybody else who came together to make our wedding the best day of our lives! We would highly recommend any and every person that helped bring our visions to life!
