Jana and Noah Married at The Farm

Jana and Noah were married in May at The Farm in Candler, North Carolina.  The rain was threatening, but the ceremony was seamless and gorgeous outside in front of the gazebo.  In fact, as they were walking up the aisle as husband and wife, it started sprinkling.  It was perfect!  I adore Jana and her family, and it was such an honor and blessing to work with them on such a special event.  We had so much fun planning this wedding, and they wanted to make sure their guests had fun also!  The Colorful Palate delivered a very tasty barbecue dinner, the flowers were happy, bright and colorful, the games were everywhere, and the guests couldn’t stop smiling.  What a wonderful evening it was!  Fortunately, such talented photographers as Two Ring Studios were there to capture this wedding so perfectly…thank you, guys!  Enjoy!

Love these ring shots…

Grace and Sebron Wed!

Sebron and Grace were married in May at The Farm in Candler, North Carolina.  Grace and Sebron both love the outdoors and hope to own their own cattle farm one day.  They both graduated from North Carolina State (go Wolfpack!), and they are both Agriculture majors.  One of the first times Grace’s mom emailed me, she told me that Grace was showing her bull calf in one of the events at the NC State Fair…I love this girl!!  Sebron also proposed to Grace at this same fair…so sweet.  One thing about Grace that I discovered is that she is the third child out of eight children, and her mom home schooled them all!  Now that is one incredible mom!

They were fortunate to have John Huneycutt, with Huneycutt Photography, to take their pictures…take a look!

Guests rang these adorable cow bells as Sebron and Grace exited the reception.

Thank you to Tere, for your hard work on this wedding!

Jana and Noah

I just featured Jana and Noah’s engagement pictures by Two Ring Studios on my blog, but I wanted to also give you some information on this very sweet couple!  Jana and Noah have been together now for two and a half years.  Jana is currently in school pursuing her Ph.D in Higher Education Administration at the University of Tennessee and working as a graduate assistant.  Noah is a programmer/analyst with the Tennessee Valley Authority.  See below for more…

How did you meet each other?
We met playing in a Mud Volleyball fundraiser for the Epilepsy Foundation of East TN. We have several mutual friends, but somehow had never met. It was great on our first “real” date seeing each other in clean clothes!

When did you get engaged, and how did he ask?
We got engaged on Christmas Eve. We were driving from TN to NC and Noah stopped the car at the Newfound Gap scenic overlook. He said he wanted to have our picture taken with the TN-NC state line sign which is almost perfectly between our two home towns. Noah asked a passing by couple to take our picture then knelt down on one knee.

What are some of the activities that you like to do together as a couple?
We enjoy traveling, spoiling our dogs, and listening to live music around Knoxville. We also have a horrible, mutual addiction to Mexican dining!

Why did you choose The Farm and Asheville as your wedding location?
We both love the Asheville area and the beautiful mountain scenery of Western North Carolina. Specifically, The Farm provides a laid-back, yet stylish, comfortable feel that fits our personalities perfectly.

When you think about your wedding, what are you most excited about?
Knowing that we get to spend the rest of our lives together. We are also very excited that we are able to share this amazing day with our closest friends and family.

What do you love about each other?
Jana: What I love about Noah is…I love Noah’s sense of humor and giant heart! On my worst day, he effortlessly makes me laugh. He is the kindest, most genuine person I’ve ever known. He never hesitates to help a stranger, and he never expects anything in return. He always sees the good in everyone and is a beautiful person inside and out. I truly feel like the luckiest woman in the world.

Noah: What I love about Jana is… I love Jana’s sense of adventure and her constant willingness to put up with all of my excitement and energy. She’s smart, beautiful, and our values are so closely aligned that I can’t imagine making this life journey with anyone else. I’m just super excited about her, and that makes me the luckiest guy in the world.

Anything else you would want people to know?
We want to thank everyone who has made this special day possible from our caterer (Colorful Palate) to our florist (Polly’s Florist in Waynesville) to our baker (Tiffany’s Baking Co.). Thanks to Two Ring Studios for the amazing engagement photos. Galen, you’re great at what you do! Additionally, to our parents, we’ve been overwhelmed by your support, generosity, and love. We love you dearly. And, of course, Tara Jordan has been phenomenal. Words cannot fully express how helpful her advice and expertise have been. Tara, you are truly amazing! Well, THANK YOU, Jana and Noah!

Wedding

This past Friday, Rebekah and Tommy were married at The Farm. A beautiful event location in Candler and home to a few very friendly horses! The wedding was supposed to begin at 7:00 pm in front of the The Farm’s outdoor gazebo. It was pouring rain up until about 10 minutes before 7:00, and then the sky cleared. What a blessing! The wedding was absolutely beautiful, and Rebekah was radiant. This was a very fun wedding with a Cold Stone Creamery cart, old fashioned coke bottles in buckets as centerpieces, and delicious barbecue by The Colorful Palate. Everyone had a wonderful time. Here are a few pictures by the photographer, Troy Tolle (yes, my brother…he is such a multi-talented guy!). He does photography on the side of his full time job with DigitalChalk.
