Kristi and Will had a morning wedding at St. Marks Lutheran Church, in Asheville, followed by a brunch reception at the gorgeous Biltmore Forest Country Club. These two were some of the sweetest, most gracious people I have ever met. Kristi should be a model, as you will see from the pictures. She is such a natural in front of the camera, and I know Abigail Seymour loved photographing her! Kristi and Will’s families were also so precious…caring so much about each detail of the wedding and making sure everything was perfect for them. I was so happy to see them get married, as I know that they are so in love and so happy together! Thank you, Kristi and Will, for letting me experience this journey with you! I loved every minute!
Okay, so once again, I am going a little overboard when it comes to the amount of pictures I am going to post of this wedding! Abigail Seymour is one of the best in the industry…I love the way she captures tender moments, and her great artistic style. Thank you, Abigail for sharing these with us!
Let’s start out with some bridal portraits…
And now for the wedding day!
I love the ‘I Do’ written on Kristi’s shoes, right next to the ‘funky’ shoes that her sister wore! Fun!
Kristi just loves The Velveteen Rabbit, and she gave a copy of it to Will for one of their anniversaries of dating. An excerpt from The Velveteen Rabbit was in the program, and Kristi gave a copy of it to all the bridesmaids, mothers, and grandmothers, since she believes that it’s the definition for true and unconditional love.
Kristi’s bouquet was beautiful and full of goodies: The matching gold rings were her grandparents’ wedding rings that were made in France where they lived. The hexagonal ring belonged to Kristi’s great great grandmother. This ring was a ‘friendship’ ring given to her in the 1800’s by her future husband, Kristi’s great great grandfather. Also, on the bouquet she had a small tuft of hair from her dog, Andy, who had passed away a few years ago. And last, but not least, she had part of a friendship bracelet that she had shared with her best friend and ‘best woman’, Belle, attached to the bouquet. I swear, Kristi thought of everything!!!
I laughed out loud when I saw this shot…just shows Will’s great personality! Always prepared! 🙂
Kristi and Will wanted the reception site to feel intimate to all their guests, so they scattered pictures everywhere…bridal portraits, engagement shots, photos of family and friends, etc…it made everyone feel like they were part of the family.
I love that Abigail captured this shot…this is Belle’s (best woman) ‘toast’ that she was adding to at the reception…I just adored her…so dramatic, so sweet, and such a dear friend to Kristi.
What a sweet photograph! This is Kristi’s mom and dad enjoying the music of the Orange Krush Band.
Kristi and Will are HUGE dog lovers, and for the favors, they donated to the Asheville Humane Society in honor of each guest.
Yay Kristi and Will!!
I’ve known about it for years. One day, I hope to enjoy experiencing a wedding reception at the Biltmore Club.
