Meredith and Bryan were married last weekend at Homewood.  The weather was perfect for Meredith and Bryan to be married outside in the Glen, and this was definitely something they had been praying for!  I loved getting to know this beautiful couple and their families.  So happy that they are now husband and wife!   You can actually see Meredith’s bridal portraits on my blog….gorgeous!

How did you meet each other?
We met through my sister Elizabeth, who went to college and is friends with Bryan.
How long did you date before you got engaged?
7 months
When did you get engaged, and how did he ask?
August 2008 – Bryan took me out west to hang out with his sister Lindsey.  I had always wanted to visit Jackson Hole, WY. We flew in to Montana where Lindsey lives and traveled through Yellowstone all the way out to WY.  Lindsey was in on the surprise and had actually sewn the ring into one of Bryan’s shorts pockets.  We went backcountry camping in the Tetons one of the nights we were out there and Bryan proposed around the campfire. Although I was still developing my affinity towards hiking and camping, it turned out to be a wonderful trip.
Where do you live now?
Greenville, SC
What are some of the activities that you like to do together as a couple?
We like to just hang out together!  We are learning to enjoy doing outdoor activities together (like hiking) and we love being out on the lake.  We both really like to have friends over – I like to cook while Bryan likes to entertain guests. We also like to do crossword puzzles in our spare time (especially on Sundays).
Why did you choose Asheville as your wedding location?
We wanted someplace different, but not too far away from our respective hometowns. Since Bryan is from TN and I am from SC, we decided to meet in the middle!
When you think about your wedding, what are you most excited about?
Spending time with all of our family and friends and being a part of something God designed!
What do you love about one another?
Bryan:
What I love about Meredith is her positive and caring nature.  She has such a wonderful spirit that she is just impossible not to love.
Meredith:  What I love about Bryan is…
He puts his heart in everything that he does. He always loves to be around people, and he truly shares his heart to his family and friends. What you see, is what you get. I couldn’t ask to marry a better person.
Anything else you would want people to know?
Patience with your significant other and those around you is extremely important. Setting an example not only through you words, but with your actions to show love to others is something Bryan and I are constantly learning. Also, live in the moment!
