Tiffany and Mitch

5/23/2013

Tiffany and Mitch have been together for almost 5 years now, and finally in May they will become husband and wife.  Such a happy, carefree and loving couple, and I truly feel honored to be part of their special day.  🙂  They will be married at the Crest Gazebo followed by a reception at the Crest Pavilion.  Gorgeous location with fantastic mountain views!  Read more about them below…
How did you meet each other?
We met in the summer of 2008.  Tiffany went to live on Martha’s Vineyard with some friends from college and she met Mitch her first night there at a party on the island.
When did you get engaged, and how did he ask?
We got engaged on Thursday, August 25, 2011.  When Mitch knew that Tiffany was the one, in April 2011 he received permission from her parents to marry their daughter.  He began searching for an engagement ring that summer.  His original intention was to propose to her on Martha’s Vineyard where they first met.  Unfortunately, the ring did not arrive in time before they left Martha’s Vineyard to go back to Asheville.  When the ring finally arrived in Asheville, Mitch couldn’t wait to pop the question.  He wanted to take her and their dogs hiking to their favorite overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway.  Of course, Tiffany didn’t want to go hiking that day because the trail was an hour drive and she was busy packing for a business trip to Vegas the next day.  After much convincing, she finally agreed to go hiking somewhere closer with him.  They drove to a nearby hiking trail on the Blue Ridge Parkway where they did a short hike and at the conclusion of the hike, he asked for her hand in marriage at a scenic overlook.  Of course she said YES!  They were so excited to celebrate that night they booked Mitch a ticket to fly to Vegas with Tiffany the next day.  They spent a few days together celebrating with business friends and colleagues.

What do you two do for a living?
Mitch just received his Bachelors degree in Accounting from the University of North Carolina Asheville and is in the process of job searching.  Tiffany does marketing, sales and event planning for a mortgage title company and law firm.
What are some of the activities that you like to do together as a couple?
Hiking and camping with their two dogs, kiteboarding, snowboarding, traveling, working on home improvement projects, and spending time with friends and family.
Why did you choose the Crest Pavilion as your wedding location?
We lived together in Asheville for 3 years and it will always be a huge part of our story.  We both love the mountains so much so we knew that we wanted to find a place with great mountain views.  We choose the Crest because of the mountains and city view, reasonable price and flexibility to work with the vendors of our choosing.

When you think about your wedding, what are you most excited about?
Aside from tying the knot, we are most looking forward to celebrating and catching up with friends and family who are coming from all over the world.

What do you love about each other?
Tiffany:  What I love about Mitch is…his sweet and funny personality.  He’s so hard working and I know he will be very successful in whatever he chooses to do.  It’s hard to put into words just how wonderful he is, he really is my best friend and I feel incredibly lucky to have found him.
Mitch:  What I love about Tiffany is…I love that she loves me and accepts me despite my imperfections.  I love that she’s kind, hard working and a great person that is also very motivated and easy on the eyes.  I couldn’t be happier!
