In August, Katy and Bruce will be married at the beautiful Homewood located in Asheville, NC.  They have been together for a little over three years now, so they are very much looking forward to becoming husband and wife.  Read more about this fabulous couple…
How did you meet each other?
We met at school in 4th grade but we didn’t become friends until our senior year of high school.  After college, Bruce came to visit me in New York and we started making trips to see each other more and more because we knew we wanted to be together.
When did you get engaged, and how did he ask?
We got engaged last October.  He was planning to take me on a picnic to Duke Gardens in Durham and ask there, but it was raining that day.  Rather than waiting all day to propose, he decided to bring me breakfast in bed instead – bacon, eggs, and coffee with a side of marquise diamond and a rose from the garden.

What do you two do for a living?
Bruce is a dental student, and Katy just graduated from law school.
What are some of the activities that you like to do together as a couple?
We enjoy marathon watching TV shows on Netflix, going out to eat, drinking wine, and taking long walks.
Why did you choose Homewood as your wedding location?
We thought it was beautiful.  As soon as we visited we knew it was the place.
When you think about your wedding, what are you most excited about?
Being able to make this commitment to each other in front of all our friends and family who have come from all over the United States and from as far as Trinidad, Singapore, London, and Dubai.

What do you love about each other?
Katy:  What I love about Bruce is… his calm demeanor.  Whenever I feel frustrated or overwhelmed it just takes a hug from him to remind me how lucky I am.
Bruce:  What I love about Katy is… her beautiful presence. When she smiles and laughs it always makes me feel special.
