Jessica and Nick will be getting married in November at the Grove Park Inn Country Club.  Both are incredibly artistic as Nick is a industrial designer, and Jessica is an unbelievable illustrator.  She designed their invitation, and it was to die for.  So excited to see their wedding come together in just a few short weeks!  Love them!

How did you meet each other?
We met our senior year in college at the Savannah College of Art and Design one warm fall night. A mutual friend introduced us at her birthday party, and we immediately clicked. We kept finding ways of seeing each other, like going to the county fair or a haunted house – until we decided we were meant to be together.

How long have you two been together?
We’ve been together for two years.

When did you get engaged, and how did he ask?
We got engaged in October of 2013. Nick took me to the Museum of Modern Art here in NYC, and then he cooked me dinner. It was the perfect end to the perfect day!

What do you two do for a living?
Nick is the senior industrial designer at a housewares company, CoreHome. I’m a freelance illustrator, which has given me the opportunity to work for some amazing clients like the New York Times, Postable, Tinybop, Our State Magazine, and more.

What are some of the activities that you like to do together as a couple?
We love cooking together, and we look forward to making dinner together every night. We travel whenever we can, and we love taking day trips to hike in upstate New York. We’re both artsy people, so we do a lot of craft projects together as well.

Why did you choose the Grove Park Inn Country Club as your wedding location?
We knew we wanted to get married in the mountains of North Carolina – my parents live in Fayetteville, and his parents live in north Georgia, so it was a good meet-in-the-middle kind of place, too. When we saw the Grove Park Inn Country Club, we thought it was so gorgeous! It was the only venue we saw that felt like “us.”

When you think about your wedding, what are you most excited about?
I’m so excited for every part of our wedding! But if I had to pick, I can’t wait for our first look.

What do you love about each other?
Jessica:  What I love about Nick is… everything! He is the kindest, most patient and loving person I know, and I can’t wait to spend my life with him.

Nick:  What I love about Jessica is…her intelligence, humor, and creativity. There’s never a dull moment with Jess, and I love how passionate she is about everything she does, it’s really inspiring.
