Raimey + Andrew

What a lovely couple this is.  They are getting married at the Diana on Biltmore Estate this July, and I couldn’t be happier for them.  Some of their favorite things to do together is fishing, hunting, going to church, working out and having date nights at their favorite Japanese restaurant.  They also love family nights with their daughter…going bowling, watching movies or going to Disney.  Their favorite tradition is ordering Dominos and watching Netflix on Sunday nights.  Aren’t they the cutest?!
Raimey and Andrew have been together for a year and a half, but have known each other much much longer.  Read more about them below!
How did you meet each other?
Our best friends introduced us 9 years ago. After talking on and off throughout school, we went our separate ways. Last year at a new years party we saw each other again and the rest is history!  The people who are meant to be in your life will always gravitate back towards you.
When did you get engaged, and how did he ask?
We were opening presents on Christmas morning. Andrew’s dad toted in my last present, that was partially wrapped, so I could tell it was the pink yeti I had been hinting toward since it came out. When I tore off the wrapping paper there was a monogram on the front. After a couple moments of letting it sink in, I realized that it was my soon to be monogram. I looked up and Andrew was on one knee with the prettiest ring I have ever seen.
What do you two do for a living?
Andrew works for Duke Energy. Raimey does book keeping for Pike’s Electric Inc. We love electricity 😉
Why did you choose the Biltmore Estate as your wedding location?
We were brainstorming on places to have a plantation wedding. We love all things southern! Out of no where the Biltmore came up and we have been stuck on it ever since. It is by far one of the prettiest places we have ever seen and the perfect place to start our life together.
When you think about your wedding, what are you most excited about?
Starting our lives together! We are also so excited to celebrate with all of our closest friends and family. It means so much to us that they are traveling 9 hours to celebrate with us.
What do you love about each other?
Andrew: She is so considerate and always puts me and Raeleigh before herself. She’s already proven that she is a great mother and is everything I’ve always wanted for a wife.
Raimey: He’s the greatest man I know. Not only is he my best friend, but he really is an amazing dad. I know without a doubt that he is the man God had planned for me and that means everything.
Anything else you want people to know?
Always put God first and everything else will fall into place. Get an amazing planner like Tara and do not overlook the importance of premarital counseling; just do it!
