You know how when you meet someone, you instantly feel like you are part of their family? Well, this is what happened when I met Caitlin, her parents, Sean and his mom. Such incredible people…each one of them. Over a year has passed since their wedding, but I was able to see them all again when Caitlin’s parents (Gus and Maria) renewed their vows this past summer. Check them out…they are the sweetest…
Caitlin and Sean’s wedding ceremony took place at the Cliffs Glassy Chapel. This was a very meaningful spot, because not only had Caitlin dreamed of getting married here, but on a rock right beside the chapel is where Sean proposed. Lots of memories up on this beautiful mountain. We laughed through this process, we cried, we hugged a whole lot, and there was a friendship that was formed that will never be broken. Love the Bazans and the Hastings to pieces. I think Jeremy Russell (photographer extraordinaire) could say the same things about this family…actually, I know he does. Thank you, Jeremy, for your brilliant work, as always.
I can not blog this wedding without honoring one of Caitlin’s beautiful bridesmaids. Her name is Perrin, and although I only first met her at the rehearsal dinner, her light radiated so brightly, that you could not help but smile in her presence. There was a gentleness and humility about her that was undeniable. A sweet spirit, who just recently passed from this life where she battled cancer. Now she has moved on to a healed and pain-free life with her Savior in heaven. I can’t do much, but I can share her picture with you, and I can share the love that Caitlin had for her friend. Caitlin loved her more than words, and there is nothing Caitlin wanted more than to have Perrin there to celebrate her wedding. So blessed to have met her.
