Ally + Zach

Couldn’t get this post up before their wedding this weekend, but definitely wanted to share.  A beautiful couple inside and out, who clearly love each other and their families.  What a special weekend it was, and I can’t wait to show you the photographs and film of their beautiful wedding at Biltmore Estate!  For now, enjoy the story of this super cute couple.
How did you meet each other?
We met each other through mutual friends in high school. We were at a Halloween party- I was dressed as Jermaine Oneal and Zach loves basketball. The rest was history ☺
How long have you two been together?
We started dating our junior year of high school, we took a break our freshman and sophomore years in college and have been dating ever since- all that adds up to 10 years!
When did you get engaged, and how did he ask?
We got engaged September 17th, 2016. My parents were in town to celebrate my birthday, which happened earlier in the month. Zach had taken my dad golfing the day before and asked him if he could marry me- luckily he said yes, so they came up with a plan for the next day. My parents took me out to brunch and Zach was to meet us there, since he had been at the St. Judes walk early that morning. He was running SO behind for brunch, in my normal fashion I got annoyed and gave him a hard time, my dad was very very quiet during the whole thing, normally he always sides with me- but he knew Zach was picking up the ring from the jewelers vault. Zach finally arrived to brunch and quickly ate. My dad the suggested that we go to the Dallas Arboretum. We were all on board, but it was EXTREMELY hot out that day, so my mom and I didle daddled at the apartment for a few hours and then they finally convinced us to go. We got to the arboretum and quickly my dad asked which was my favorite garden- I said the walled garden, so we walked there first. Stopping along the way for several photo ops with the pumpkins all over the pathways. We finally got to the garden and zach got down on one knee. I couldn’t believe it – I said yes. It happened so quickly my mom had no idea what had just happened my dad screamed they are engaged and we all burst in to tears.
What do you two do for a living?
Zach is a commercial real estate broker for NAI Robert Lynn
Ally is a precious and designer sales manager at the flagship Neiman Marcus store.
What are some of the activities that you like to do together as a couple?
Travel, spoil our puppy Olivia, going out to eat, hanging out with friends
Why did you choose the Biltmore Estate as your wedding location?
When I was 7 or 8, we were visiting the Biltmore and I fell in love, I asked my dad if I could get married there- he replied if he liked the guy. Fast forward several years and here we are. It is the perfect venue with so much history- who wouldn’t want to feel like a princess for a day
When you think about your wedding, what are you most excited about?
I know it is a cliché answer but getting to have all of our friends in family in one place celebrating such an important occasion with us.
What do you love about each other?
Ally: What I love about Zach is…he always makes me laugh and can turn any situation into the best possible situation- he really is my best friend.
Zach: What I love about Ally is…How supportive she is of me and how she is by my side through the good and bad no matter what.
